Daniel 9 is what 2 Chronicles 7:14 looks like when one man actually does it. Faithful in Babylon Day 5: Daniel reads God's promise, confesses "we have sinned," and prays for his whole nation.
Bible study notes for Day 5:
https://www.faithnfreedom.social/c/faith-blogs-discussions/faithful-in-babylon-day-5-praying-for-a-nation-daniel-9-and-2-chronicles-7-14

IT STARTED WITH READING THE BIBLE (Daniel 9:1–3)
• Daniel read Jeremiah and saw the seventy years were nearly up
• God's promise did not make Daniel sit back; it sent him to prayer and fasting
• God kept the seventy-year promise to the very year (Ezra 1:1)

"WE HAVE SINNED" (Daniel 9:4–14)
• Daniel began with who God is: the great and awesome God who keeps covenant
• He said "we," not "they," and confessed his own sin too (Daniel 9:20)
• 2 Chronicles 7:14 was God's answer to Solomon, and Daniel 9 is that answer lived out

BECAUSE OF YOUR GREAT MERCY (Daniel 9:15–23)
• Daniel asked God to act for His own name, not because of anyone's righteousness (Daniel 9:18)
• God sent the answer at the beginning of Daniel's prayer
• Gabriel told Daniel he was greatly loved

FOR YOU THIS WEEK
• Open your Bible before you open your feed
• Confess with the word "we"
• Pray for our nation and for all who are in high positions
• Pray first, then do what God puts in front of you
